Introduction:
As fate would have it, the coffee shop's tagline "you're not lost, you're here" perfectly encapsulated our journey to Tahanan Cafe.
Our initial attempt to find the place felt like a comedic adventure, as we circled back twice before stumbling upon the charming café.
We thought namaligno kame, Waze was pointing us to the "right" direction , pero apparently during that time closed na pala sila.
It was so funny kase nagkatakutan pa kameng magkakapatid, so we decided to go back the next day and Tahanan Cafe didn't disappoint us. Most of the food and the experience are a solid 10/10.
Let's talk about it
Atmosphere and Ambiance:
Tahanan Cafe's ambiance boasts a delightful blend of coziness and rustic charm, reminiscent of a traditional Kubo with minimalist design touches.
The heartfelt messages on the walls, like
"TAHANAN: Dito tayo tumatahan at nakakaramdam ng kagaanan"
and
"HELLO, YOU'RE LOOKING GORGEOUS TODAY"
establish a warm and inviting environment.
When we visited though sira yung aircon nila so mainit dun sa may "lounge-style" area, but we didn't mind kase we chose to sit naman dun sa "open area"
Kame lang din yung customers kase it was early in the morning (so I might be a little biased when I say that we were properly taken care of and assisted)
Coffee and Beverage Selection:
Tahanan Cafe's menu is a treasure trove of beverages, offering everything from refreshing mocktails to energizing coffees and tantalizing cocktails.
Espresso prices range from P80 to P120,
Non-Coffee Options range from P90 to P110,
Frappe options vary from P90 to P140,
Fruit Shakes range from P80 to P100,
Milkshakes are priced between P170 and P180,
Mocktails and Cocktails are priced from P90 to P120.
I ordered their Spanish Latte P110 and I love the perfect blend, hindi din masyadong matamis na nakakaumay na.
Food Menu:
Tahanan's diverse menu offers a delectable array of dishes, from pizzas and pastas to hearty mains and delightful breakfast options.
We ordered a loooot, as usual sameng magkakapatid - BUT surprise, surprise our bill was only P2,540 in total. Sobrang sulit and sobrang busog.
Cream Kale Baguette (P260)
10/10 this is one of my favorites, sobrang creamy and malasang malasa. This also comes with a scrambled egg na perfect yung pagkakaluto. *chef kiss*
Chicken Gorgonzola Pizza (P460)
10/10 Thin crust pizza with white based sauce, topped with diced Juicy chicken. We loooove this so much.
This was served first so it served as an appetizer.
Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings (P230)
8/10 may aftertaste na matapang yung parmesan so this is my least favorite, but the chicken was crispy and juicy
Creamy Carbonara (P260)
10/10 impressed with its creaminess and al dente pasta texture, a delightful rendition.
English and American Breakfast (P230 each)
8/10 napakarami ng servings, we were shocked and namroblema pano uubusin. lol.
Hindi namin naubos yung pancake actually and pina-takeout lang.
Mejo werd yung hashbrown, I didn't like it - but you might like it though. Just personal preference.
Baby Back Ribs (P260)
8/10 tender and juicy, I just find it weird na masyado syang color red.

Service and Staff:
Not so sure if it was the owner who served us, but it was an spectacular customer service experience.
Friendly staff, and the Ate Girl who served us was also making small talks about where we should go for night life experience.
WiFi and Amenities:
They have Free WIFI so you can freely surf the Internet while dining.
They also allowed us na magconnect sa Bluetooth para makapag soundtrip ng Taylor Swift.

Conclusion:
In summation, Tahanan encompassed all that we sought in a coffee shop experience: a comforting atmosphere, tantalizing food, and genuine hospitality.
Their moniker and tagline resonated deeply with us, reminding us that though we may wander, we are never truly lost.
